My name's Grant. I am a 62 year-old white male. I am 5'7" tall and weigh 232 pounds. I have type 2 Diabetes and high blood pressure. I use insulin. I have had a total knee replacement on my left knee. I'm out of shape and have poor muscle tone and not a lot of endurance. Other than that I'm pretty healthy, but the old body is getting worn out.
If I was where I should be I would weigh about 155 pounds. That puts me 77 pounds overweight. Yeah, I know. I'm obese. I hate that word though. Most of the extra weight seems to be around the middle, although I know the fat's spread around. My organs are probably swimming in the stuff. I think the diabetes and high blood pressure would go away if I got my weight down. Problem is, I have tried and tried to make that happen, but so far I'm only eight pounds down from my worst ever weight of 230 pounds.
There was one time where I got down to 179 pounds. I was participating in the EAS Challenge. It went right back up though.
I'm going to use this blog as a resource and a record. A resource, because I'm going to study and research ways to get healthy and fit. A record to keep track of what I'm doing, that may be helpful to others. This blog is meant to be accessed by others. Hopefully the information provided in the posts will help other people improve their health too.
Here's my first resource. I found a product called Trim U Lean. It's produced by a company called Chews4Health. Trim U Lean is a rapid-release chewable tablet, with no added caffeine. It's doctor formulated to help boost metabolism and satisfy your appetite, so you eat less and cheat less. You can find more information about Trim U Lean and other products by Chews4Health here. I've only been on it for a couple of weeks, but I think it works if you follow the plan. It's easy to forget to take a chewable, or not have one with you if your are eating out, so it take a little planning to do it right. All you have to do is chew one or two 30 minutes before a meal. You can try it yourself or wait for a month or so and I'll post how it's working for me.
Hi, Steve. I'm slow right now with blogging but hope to get up to speed quickly. It's obvious from your post that you're a Christian. I'm also Christian, subset Mormon, and active in my church. I'm happy to keep in communication if you want to. Have a great day.
